Listen To Your Intuition

By Ashly Rae

Introduce yourself! Who are you?
My name is Ashly, I am a social entrepreneur! I help women build a business online and offline through their social networks! Sharing botanical products and helping others become healthier and happier. I also run breakthrough success building wonder women, a platform for women to get together to support and inspire each other.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
If it scares you, it is probably a good thing to try.

What would you say to 16 year old you?
It is ok. Take it easy on yourself, listen to your intuition and stand up for yourself.

Have you ever had anyone doubt you? How did that make you feel?
YESSS! All the time!! It annoys me at first but then I turn it in to fuel and fire to be even more successful. IF people aren’t doubting your ambition it is probably not big enough.

What do you love most about yourself?
The fire in my belly. A fire to succeed and a hunger to reach my potential no matter what. It has been there as long as I can remember and I love it.

Do you remember a specific time you overcame adversity?
Ha ha oh yes many! I was in a dark hole for a long time, I didn’t see a way out but something inside me said do not give up. You have a message to share with the world, it will be ok. And it was and now here I am.  We all suffer adversity, that is life.  It is learning to see things in a different way, finding the lessons in everything and trusting there is a power greater than you who has your back.
It will always work out.

What motivates you most?
It depends what day it is really. Somedays it is material things like a new car or a nice handbag or house, the next day it is helping other women see their infinite power. I want all women to know they are only limited by their beliefs, none of which are set in stone.  It is possible to achieve anything, no matter who you are or where you are right now, that doesn’t matter.  If you can see it in your mind, it is possible.

What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
Life in general! Being alive 🙂 Finding myself among all the chaos of the past, and listening to my intuition, at last.

What is something on your bucket list?
Travelling more!! So many beautiful locations from Bali to Reykjavik. Speaking at TED and hosting a Female empowerment summit where thousands of women come to be inspired.

What are your biggest passions?
Growth. Not in height I am already 5ft 10 so don’t need that 🙂 Personal development and business growth.  I love feeling improvement and more understanding in myself.

What motivated and inspired you to start your own business?
I didn’t like being told what to do by others and I wanted to be in charge of me! Of my time and development.

What have been your biggest challenges so far? How did you overcome them?
Self belief for sure. We all come across ‘blocks’ and ‘limiting beliefs’ we will grow and reach a level then boom there is another one. It is about finding a way through and leaning in to the discovery of what these limitations are based on.

How do you keep motivated through difficult times?
Knowing that people are watching. I feel a huge responsibility to lead by example and live the life I encourage others to. I have to walk the walk and by doing that I know how to coach others through the difficult times. If I just gave up and stopped when things got tough, what would i have to share or teach other women?

What are you currently learning about for your business?
Money management. If we desire to have more of something we need to be equipped to manage the resource of it we already have. Only then can be really attract more.

What were you doing before starting your business?
I was a model and actress.

How do you achieve work-life balance?
This is an interesting one. I think constant work-life balance is a bit of a myth. There is nothing balanced about running your own business, hustling and reaching for massive goals and success. Striving to achieve all of that and have balance at the same time will probably cause massive amounts of stress, because of all the ‘should’s’ you will place on yourself.  I should be doing yoga,  I should be taking time off, I should be meditating or whatever. Know to expect washing wont get done, the house will be a mess, dinner will be thrown together and you may not get a holiday for a while.  But if you persist and take the right actions, balance will come! Like an airplane only gets in to the air on full throttle.. not 20% or even 95% throttle, but once it’s in the air it soars.  Just be kind and loving to yourself, take a rest when your intuition tells you to and keep your eye on the reason you have chosen this path. Success will come, trust your path and your calling, you always know the answer.
