Introduce yourself! Who are you?
My name is Ady and I'm the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Verbal Gold Blog and Co-CEO of Zions Den Apparel!
What is one thing no one really knows about you?
I've had a lot of obstacles these last view years. My health being the biggest one. Currently my health likes to make it as hard as possible to do my job but my brain and heart like to take on more projects and do more, travel more, explore more, and go on adventures but my health is trying it's hardest to hold me back.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Be yourself. Find who you are and own it!
What would you say to 16 year old you?
Don't be afraid to be who you are. Weird is in and normal is boring! Why try to fit in when you were born to stand out!
What’s your dream job?
Exactly what I'm doing! Traveling to fabulous locations all over the world, meeting new people, exploring new places and living the life of my dreams! Being curvy from a young age, I've always wanted to have an all inclusive brand that doesn't make women feel bad going shopping! So finally, my business partner Katie Seller from Metal Marvels and I have acquired Zions Den Apparel. An all inclusive athletic leisure company made for women by women and meant for everyBODY!
Have you ever had anyone doubt you? How did that make you feel?
EVERY. DAMN. DAY. It comes with the territory. When you aren't doing normal things and you're trying to break the mold people doubt you on the regular. But I keep a quote close to me that says, "Hustle until your haters ask if you're hiring." And guess how many of my haters have asked me for a job.... EVERY. DAMN. BODY. And that feels so good!
What message do you think every woman should hear?
You're good enough! Please don't spend your time comparing yourself to others because it will drain you of your confidence and what makes you different. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing because they aren't you!
What do you do on a daily basis to grow and move forward?
I try to continue learning. I work on learning or creating something new every day!
What is one thing people would be surprised to hear about you?
I'm actually more of an introvert.
If you weren’t blogging, what would you be doing?
I'd probably still be the Director of Sales over the SE territory for an advertising company in New York.
What is something on your bucket list?
Visiting Iceland so I can see the Northern Lights, doing a road trip across America, and visiting the Amalfi Coast and exploring Italy. Going back to Bali with my husband is definitely on my bucket list for sure!
What was your most recent trip?
We recently went to Coco Plum Private Island Resort in Belize and it was amazing! Details are on my blog!
How often do you travel in a year?
As much as I can but I always take time to relax at home in between trips. I'd say at least 12+ trips a year.
What is your favorite destination? Why?
Hmmm Bali for sure. It was life changing and so enlightening.
What is your next destination?
I'm heading to South Africa with The Blonde Abroad!
Why do you love travel?
I love to travel because getting to experience different areas, cultures, food, and people really opens your eyes and heart to the world. It's a breath of fresh air and really makes me happy.
Have you ever had an extra-ordinary experience? Describe it.
I was fortunately enough to have my fortune read by Ketut, the original medicine man in Bali, from the movie Eat Pray Love. He was a hoot and such a happy individual. His energy was contagious.
