Introduce yourself! Who are you?
Hello there! I’m Becca, a crazy dog mom and mental health therapist living in Brooklyn, New York.
Recently, I’ve started my own private practice in psychotherapy, where I move away from traditional talk therapy interventions and incorporate yoga, movement, and a holistic approach to mental health.
I’m a huge advocate for spending money on travel and experiences rather than the latest trend. Come get to know me a little better…
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I ever received was from my Dad. He said “Bec, if you study hard, work hard, everything will fall into place”… And he was right.
What message do you think every woman should hear?
YOU ARE MORE THAN YOUR BODY. Every woman on this earth is strong, smart, and capable of anything they put their mind to.
What is your favorite thing about where you live?
My favorite thing about New York is the immense diversity and cultures that have all melted together.
What do you love most about yourself?
I love the amount of empathy in my heart. I feel like I can sit with a person for less than ten minutes and truly feel how they are feeling, and try my hardest to connect with them. This can also be flipped to my biggest flaw because I tend to care a little too much.
What is the biggest thing you’ve learned along the way?
The biggest thing I’ve learned along the way is that accidents happen, and we are all human. I will never try to be perfect, I will just try to do better every chance I get.
Why do you love to travel?
Ah! I love immersing myself in other cultures, and learning about new traditions, religions, and customs. Traveling also humbles me beyond words.
