With Bailey Williams
Introduce yourself! Who are you?
I am Bailey Williams! CEO and Photojournalist of Awakening Photos! I am a wife, mother and a vulnerability junky. Ironically I enjoy simple living with a fast pace lifestyle. I totally believe in self care and self love! Living beautiful in every area!
What is one thing no one really knows about you?
I am naturally a happy person, the sunshine also adds to this. But some how I crave for it to storm and the sky to go completely dark.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
The word NO will give you more freedom and happiness than you could have ever imagined.
What would you say to 16 year old you?
Don’t try and be perfect and stop soul searching. Focus on you, and go take over the world. You will move mountains once you connect with yourself and love without hesitation.
What is your greatest fear?
Losing anyone I love.
Have you ever had anyone doubt you? How did that make you feel?
Yes, I had an enemy in high school. The ones you would see in the Mean Girl’s movie. It took a huge toll on my journey. I hit a different kind of low. Let’s just say I wasn’t really proud of myself after highschool. I was trying to be every person I was not inside. After navigating through my journey, all of that hurt turned into appreciation. I wouldn’t have had it any other way! I have learned more about myself and where I want to go from doubt and discouragement than support and encouragement.
What message do you think every woman should hear?
Break down barriers. You are capable of much more than you give yourself credit for.
What is your favorite thing about where you live?
The small town vibe of knowing everyone.
Do you remember a specific time you overcame adversity?
Once I started my business.
What is the biggest thing you’ve learned along the way?
No is a beautiful thing. Listen to your heart, and all will work out.
Why do you love to travel?
Because it always makes me miss what I have been given at home.
What motivates you most?
My younger self.
How do you manage your work-life balance?
I am still in the process of learning this. I am a mother of two boys under two! Yes under two. All while working from home! I have came to the realization, I will forever have to manage my work and home life. There is not an easy recipe I have to give. But, I have learned asking for help will help you succeed far more than doing it all on your own.
What is one thing people would be surprised to hear about you?
I fail on a daily basis. I think people look at me and think my life is perfect. But the fact is, I am just like you. We all fail, we all have bad days and good days. I am just not afraid to talk about it.
What is something on your bucket list?
Seeing the Northern Lights!
Where do you find inspiration?
Design, Nature and words!
What are your biggest passions?
Being a good human.
I keep myself motivated by creating “ME” time. I am in a house full of boys while working from home so days can ooze chaos! But, I am a huge advocate on self care. I can not pour from an empty cup. So taking care of myself, and inspiring myself helps to push me to go further in work, life and motherhood.
My ability to be vulnerable and the true love that I have for myself as a woman and who I have become. It is not pride, ego or an abundance amount of confidence. It is merely grace, mended heart, and strife. I have a passion for loving those around me more deeply by being present and indulging into their qualities.
