Introduce yourself! Who are you?
My name is Kylie Keller: I was born and raised in Orange County, California and moved to New York City when I was 18. I have gone through many trials and challenges, but have really grounded myself in the past 3 years in my identity and being my authentic self. I have started writing and drawing again, with a focus on the subject of cities because they fascinate me so much! I am a dog lover, a tea drinker, a Coldplay listener, a pie baker, and a runner in Central Park.

Who would you say is your #1 inspiration?
It's hard to pinpoint just one person, but I would say my Grandmother. While our upbringings and circumstances are so different, she has so many qualities like her faith and resilience that I admire and aspire to continue to grow in.

What is one thing no one really knows about you?
Some people may know about this, but I like to name inanimate objects around my house. (ie Robespierre the robe, and Spike Lee, the succulent).

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
There will be one day you look back on the frustrating moments you and realize that it was so insignificant compared to the joy that comes from accomplishing your goals.

What would you say to 16 year old you?
If you love something or have great talent, continue to work through the challenges that come with doing what you love.

Have you ever had anyone doubt you? How did that make you feel?
Yes of course, there will always be people who doubt you. While it does hurt sometimes, what is more important is deciphering the weight of those words versus the significant and assurance of your purpose in life.

What message do you think every woman should hear?
Every woman should know that they are loved, valued and uniquely designed for a specific purpose. Every woman has the possibility to impact so many lives in their specific sphere of influence.

What is your favorite thing about where you live?
Everything is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you need dish soap, tortilla chips, and a greeting card delivered to your door at 3AM- it's possible.

What do you love most about yourself?
I love that I can have significant conversations with strangers. Some of the most memorable conversations I have had have been at the checkout counter at a grocery store.

Do you remember a specific time you overcame adversity?
Yes. I was a recent graduate from college and I had no job for 3 month and change. I remember my dad calling me on a Tuesday afternoon telling me if I didn't have a job by Friday they were sending me on the next flight from New York to California (I threw the biggest, most dramatic over the phone tantrum). Even though I cried for a few hours, I went to FedEx with all the money I saved in my coin jar and printed out 150 copies of my resume. I went door to door to every restaurant I could find on the street and asked if they had an opening for a job. After more than 10 hours of walking that day and more than 250 asks, I got a conversation with a manager at an Irish pub! I didn't have to move back to California! I worked there for the summer while balancing a freelance gig I picked up as well (they were 16-hour long days). After applying and applying I finally landed an office job as a receptionist with full time benefits: bless up! It wasn't my dream job, but I learned so much and met some of the best people I know today. You never know where a job can lead, so always put your best foot forward no matter where you are.

What motivates you most?
Being able to leave a legacy for future generations and being able to create fun & exciting content.

What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
I don't know if I can pinpoint a single greatest achievement. There are things I am proud of like getting up my Etsy site (KylieAnnKeller), moving to New York without knowing anyone, running a marathon, taking my first solo trip to Europe. I look back on milestones and I feel like each milestone could be a "great achievement."

What is something on your bucket list?
I want to have a James Bond moment: driving through the English Countryside in an Aston Martin while listening to the James Bond / Casino Royale soundtrack.

What are your biggest passions?
I am passionate about creating & empowering others to create. I want others to grow in their faith and thrive in a community that encourages them to be the best version of themselves. And dogs. I am passionate about cute dogs.
