Introduce yourself! Who are you?
HIIII! I’m Krista Williams, blogger at The Hundred Blog, and Podcast Host of The Almost 30 Podcast. Hundred Blog stands for ‘keeping it one hundred’ because I keep it super authentic, real and honest. The Almost 30 Podcast is about the transition from your twenties to your thirties, which can be a crazy time. We talk about career, health, spirituality, and wellness. It’s weekly, and it’s hilarious. I am a Pisces sun sign and Scorpio moon sign which means I am cool, introspective, but also driven to a fault and really impatient at times, ha. I live and love in Venice Beach, California with my gorgeous BF who acts as my UPS man and sounding board. I’m into travel, personal growth, working out and trying anything new. Happy to be here.

Who would you say is your #1 inspiration?
I hate that I cannot give you a full answer here, with a persons name but I would say that there are a few people that really inspire me. Rich Roll, is a big inspiration, I love that he’s plant based, super smart and super spiritual. Lauryn Evarts of The Skinny Confidential, because she’s always evolving and kept everything really consumer focused and real. Justin, my boyfriend, because he’s the most loving human on earth, and manages to be so hot but so down to earth, too, ha.
I try to get inspired by everyone and anyone. I think the podcast has shown me that everyone has a story and everyone can be interesting  and inspirational in some way. Even when I am in my uber, I find their stories inspiring!

What is one thing no one really knows about you?
I think people see all of the outside but don’t really see what’s going on fully. Like people may look at my Instagram, or listen to the podcast, and only hear the best of the best. I definitely am honest, and real, but I think that I want to show the most positive side of myself in the public because I want to spread that to the world. I have this deep yearning to do good for others, and sometimes I find myself crying at the simple fact that I have been given so much and that I may not be doing enough for others. I feel like there’s so much pain and suffering in the world, I wish that I could do way more than I do right now to help other people.

What would you say to 16 year old you?
I would tell her that it’s okay to feel that way , and to start meditating earlier, ha. I think a lot of my depression and anxiety that I’ve had in my life was when I was a child, and then in my teenage years. Just lots of emotions and energy and not a way to deal with it in a healthy way. I wasn’t happy a lot of the time. Meditation has changed my life in that way and if I started earlier I would be way further in my career and personal growth than I am! Wish I could give that lil Krista a hug!

What’s your dream job?
Honestly I feel like I am living it. But, I cannot wait to have a gorgeous office space with a team of badass people that do amazing stuff for the world. I want Almost 30 to be huge, to help a lot of people and to bring a lot of people together that are authentic, and real. Sometimes when I am working at 5 AM, I need to remember that having a creative outlet and positively connecting with people and making them happy is a dream for me. There are days where things don’t feel so dreamy and I am really just putting in the work, but I am so glad to be doing what I am doing.

Have you ever had anyone doubt you? How did that make you feel?
Ha, I think every single person that saw me grow up would never think that I would be the person I am today or where I am today. I was a bit of a rebel, I wasn’t really a ‘good’ kid. I didn’t have a really particular talent. I felt misunderstood most of my life until college or high school. I lived with lots of self-limiting beliefs and I didn’t understand life, really. I actually would say that my greatest doubter is myself. I would describe the feeling as if you can’t get out of your head, and your actions aren’t following what your heart truly desires. Since that time there has been a huge evolution in my actual belief in what I can be. Removing and working through the self-limiting thoughts and talks has been major and has enabled me to be way more successful than I ever thought possible.

What message do you think every woman should hear?
Thoughts are things, and they create your reality. It’s cliché, and it could be all woo-woo, but I’ve literally seen magic happen from changing my thoughts.

What is your favorite thing about where you live?
I seriously cannot love where I live more. Venice is the BEST. It’s so creative, and cultural and diverse…plus being right on the beach isn’t that bad either. But, definitely the best part about where I live is that I live with my boyfriend (sigh). It’s corny, but we laugh ALL day long, and nothing makes me feel happier than being around him.

What do you love most about yourself?
I honestly love the shit out of myself. I definitely go through phases where I dislike choices and decisions, and how I look…but man...I love that I have a sense of humor. I think that is the key to all happiness for me. I love the fact that I say what’s on my mind, and it’s inappropriate sometimes, but that it makes others (and myself laugh).

Do you remember a specific time you overcame adversity?
I think there’s an ebb and flow to the challenges in my life. I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety, and have an interesting relationship with my body and food. Everything that I have come across in my life, whether it’s a mental thing, or a physical thing, has allowed me to be more fully human who is able to connect in more interviews and with more people.

Do you have a favorite photo of yourself?
Literally changes every day. I can remember ones where I was like damn I look GOOD or like damn I have 4 chins. That’s the thing with blogging is that we take so many pictures there are some gems of the 900 photos taken, HA.

What motivates you most?
I have this really deep fear of never living up to my fullest potential in life. It keeps me SUPER motivated/anxious. But it’s always been in me and I really just focus on that and the fact that I am so damn lucky to have everything I do, I need to do something with it. There’s also a part of me that’s motivated by the feeling that I am never enough, or will never be good enough…it’s a shadow side of me, but it really helps to keep me going.

What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
Choosing happiness everyday. Honestly, a few years ago, I made the decision to be happy, and to monitor my thoughts and really think deeply about the person that I want to become and the energy I want to create, and over the course of a few years, I’ve really molded myself into a positive and kind human that I am really proud of.

What do you do on a daily basis to grow and move forward?
I honor my morning ritual. I am a huge fan of the morning ritual! It’s my time where I can just slowly start the day. I always start with gratitude. I know its cliché, but it’s true, I have a lot to be thankful for (and you do to!) so I’ll put my hand over my heart, and say thanks. Then I’ll scrape my tongue, do oil pulling for a clean mouth and white teeth, and brew some tea. These are practices that I learned from one of our podcast guests, Sahara Rose, and have been a really great ritual for my morning. After that I’ll meditate, journal, then I’m off to workout. This helps me to move forward because it grounds me.

What is one thing people would be surprised to hear about you?
A random fact, is that I own tour business running tours in Morocco, LOL. I started it two years ago when I traveled there, and book a few tours a month with guides that live in Morocco. The website is: www.letstravelmoroccotours.com  Super random, but I am ALL about the side hustle.

If you weren’t blogging, what would you be doing?
I would be podcasting, HA. I think that it’s honestly saved me. I feel like I would be in a corporate job just trying to make as much money as possible to make myself happy, LOL. Blogging has been such an amazing outlet for me creatively and to connect with people. I am so thankful for it.

What is something on your bucket list?
I know I have a bucket list somewhere, I used to be really adamant about making lists and really being conscious about my life and what I wanted to do before I die. Now I really just want to marry Justin, have the best wedding ever, go on an amazing honeymoon and have a beautiful family – in addition to building almost 30 podcast/hundred blog to a huge brand that makes a difference. That’s where my head is at and where my focus is.

What are your biggest passions?
I’m really passionate about education on global warming, people having good conversational skills, aisle seats on planes, nut butters, meal delivery, my friends, a plant based diet, and anything related to personal development.
