Introduce yourself! Who are you?
I’m Meredith Boggs, a born and raised Nashville girl married to my high school sweetheart. My craft is writing and my trade is ER nursing. I love waking up early, wild adventures, champagne toasts, dancing, eating street food and my crazy black lab, Lady.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
‘Be who you are because who you are is enough.’
On our wedding day, while my sisters and I were getting ready at our childhood home, our videographer snuck away with my parents to film them. The videographer asked my mom ‘looking back, if you could tell yourself one thing as a new wife, what would it be and what would you want to tell your daughter?’
It wasn’t until about 6 months after we were married that I was up late one night while my husband was working a night shift, that I watched all the raw footage from our wedding day. I stumbled across the segment that our videographer had filmed of my mom and those were her words, ‘be who you are because who you are is enough.’
Those words have served and guided me through the past 5 years of marriage and adulthood.

What would you say to 16 year old you?
Be kind to yourself and be patient with yourself. You’re just a kid.
I would probably say that same thing to my 27 year old self now too!

What is your greatest fear?
Being so busy that I forget to stop to taste, touch, smell and feel the million tiny and glittering moments life is offering me even in the mundane everyday-ness. I don't want to get to the end of my life, look around and see that it was filled with busyness, filled with checking one more thing off the to-do list, folding one more load of laundry. I want to get to the end of my life and be worn smack out from living wildly and fully.

What is your favorite thing about where you live?
Nashville is a city of dreamers. It’s a city of small-town-boys and small-town-girls who come to chase wild dreams of music, entrepreneurship and creativity. It’s the heartbeat of this city and I was lucky enough to be born here.

What do you love most about yourself?
My passion and moxie. They are my driving forces, energy and essence.

What do you do on a daily basis to grow and move forward?
Read, write & repeat.
Whether it’s spiritually, personally or professionally, reading expands my mind and knowledge base while it invokes ideas and writing is how I process, interpret and express myself, thoughts or emotions.

What is something on your bucket list?
Patagonia trekking

Have you ever had an extraordinary experience? Describe it!
My husband and I , who are both nurses by trade, spent a year living in China where we worked for a non-profit organization that provided medical and surgical care for orphan children. That year was hands down the most challenging and most rewarding year of our lives.
These kiddos were the sickest of the sick, from congenital heart defects, neurological conditions, rare birth defects and kids who needed emergency surgery, we had the privilege of caring for them all.
During that year, we were able to play a small role in the lives of these children. On the best days, we got to see kids adopted whose conditions had been deemed ‘non-survivable’ and on the hard days, we held these babies and rocked them until Jesus came to carry them in his arms to their home to heaven.
Those times and those places, the best days and the hard days were days when the veil that separates heaven from earth, life from death, joy and sorrow was so thin and so beautiful. John sums it up perfectly in his gospel account when he writes ‘now Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.’
That year was extraordinary, extraordinary in a way that I will never stop writing or telling about it.

Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration in the creative passions of others. There are many genres of the arts and creative expression that I would never be considered an expert in. But to see a creative, a writer, painter, musician, photographer in their element and honing their craft is incredibly inspiring to me.
