What Message Do You Think Every Woman Should Hear?

With Cat Lantigua

Introduce yourself! Who are you?
I’m a first generation Dominican-American passionate about building community and enabling millennial greatness! I grew up in Miami but made NYC home last year. Last year I started my interview style podcast Chats with Cat. On the show I chats with inspiring young people who are fearless trailblazers in their fields as a way to celebrate their talents and to inspire others to embark on their own journeys. I’m the founder of the Goddess Council, an organization building an online and IRL sisterhood in the form of cozy meetups throughout NYC.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
It’s okay to fail, it means you’re trying!

What message do you think every woman should hear?
When we use our gifts to feverishly support our sisters we too become better. We have nothing to lose by collaborating and wishing the best for the women around us, but we have everything to gain!

What do you love most about yourself?
How committed I am to making those around me feel important. I also love how I don’t doubt that I’m destined to do great things for the world.

What motivates you most?
Proving to my family who made unimaginable sacrifices to come to this country that it wasn’t in vain. They’ve poured all of their love and resources into me, I do my best to give them the same.

What do you do on a daily basis to grow and move forward?
I read at least 30-60 mins everyday, write, listen to self-help podcasts, actively collaborate with others to better my processes, and welcome critical feedback!

What is something on your bucket list?
Go to India during Diwali!

What are your biggest passions?
Building sisterhood, embracing vulnerability as a tool for healing, advocating Afro-latinx representation, education around vegetarianism, and being kind to pachamama!
